This sterling letter opener is in the "Lion" pattern by Frank Smith. This pattern was originally introduced in 1905, was discontinued, and is now "resurrected". The letter openers are new and measure 9" in length. Notice the detail...the tail wraps around to the front of the handle, the lions ribs are pronounced, the mane flows around his face and down his shoulders.
